Before you place your clothes in stuff sacs you should fold them totally flat. That way you will save more space in your luggage. Stuff sacs will also protect your clothes in case one of your toiletries breaks.
If you want to save on a volume of your luggage than you should invest in small, refillable toiletry bottles. There are plenty of accessories available that can save on volume and weight of your luggage. For example traveling hair dryer, small travel hair brush etc. it is worth investing in few accessories if you are going to travel more often.
You can also save on volume if you choose clothes that are more versatile, like good quality thermal underwear for example. If you choose thermals that have modern design you will be able to wear them out as well. there are brands available that offer great quality and modern look.
